A new programmatic aspect in the Pierre Boulez Saal’s second season is dedicated to early music. Works from the 15th to the 18th centuries will be heard in concerts featuring some of the most acclaimed period performance ensembles. The project LUTHER dancing with the gods, created by director Robert Wilson together with the Runkfunkchor Berlin in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, contrasts works of Bach and texts by Martin Luther with theatrical imagery and music of our time.
