Born in 2007, Alexandra Dovgan made international headlines when she won the Grand Prix of the 2018 Grand Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Moscow. A student of Mira Marchenko at the Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, she has since appeared at the Salzburg Festival, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and the Berlin Philharmonie, among others. The young pianist now makes her Pierre Boulez Saal debut performing works by Bach, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin.
