Approximate running time: 1h 15m without intermission

American clarinetist David Krakauer—equally at home in the classical repertoire and in klezmer and jazz—and South-African composer-pianist Kathleen Tagg bring an eclectic and highly personal program to Berlin’s new concert hall. Breath & Hammer is an exploration of shared artistic values and a celebration of differences. Tagg and Krakauer blend the music of close companions from around the world and their own compositions with live video projections created by American visual artist Jesse Gilbert. This immersive concert is performed inside a translucent, hexagonal space specifically designed for the Pierre Boulez Saal.
