Fantasia for Solo Flute No. 7 in D major TWV 40:8
Composed around 1730, Georg Philipp Telemann’s 12 Fantaisies à Travers sans Basse form a veritable compendium of Baroque flute music that, thanks to its considerable technical challenges and stylistic variety, has remained at the core of the flute repertoire to this day. In his diverse solo program, Emmanuel Pahud combines selected fantasies with equally demanding works by a group of contemporary composers, all written for him over the last few years.
