In his stirringly atmospheric string quartet Arcadiana, written in 1994, Thomas Adès evokes lost realms and fabled places—incorporating allusions to the music of Mozart, Schubert, Elgar, and others. As part of the Quartet Week, the Heath Quartet, in its third and final appearance this season, is joined by Denis Kozhukhin for Elgar’s romantic Piano Quintet, in a program that also includes Bartók’s Second String Quartet.
