Unfortunately, Luca Pisaroni had to cancel his appearance because of illness. In his stead, soprano Sophie Karthäuser, together with pianist Eugene Asti, will perform songs by Schubert, Wolf, Debussy, and others. You can find the full program here.
The Pierre Boulez Saal’s four-year project of presenting Schubert’s complete songs continues in its second season with a recital by bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni and pianist Malcolm Martineau. Their program combines some of the composer’s most celebrated Goethe settings, including the ever-popular Erlkönig, with lesser known works and three Italian canzoni based on texts by Pietro Metastasio.
