Founded in 2013 at London’s Royal College of Music, the Marmen Quartet recently won first prizes at the international string quartet competitions in Bordeaux and Banff, Canada, once more confirming its standing as one of today’s most promising ensembles. The youngest group in this season’s Quartet Week lineup, the four musicians make their Pierre Boulez Saal debuts performing works by Mendelssohn, Ligeti, and Salvatore Sciarrino.
