The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra’s traditional summer concert at Berlin’s Waldbühne had to be postponed this year—instead, the orchestra now performs at the Pierre Boulez Saal on two consecutive nights, conducted by its founder, Daniel Barenboim. The program includes works by Beethoven, Wagner, Schoenberg, and Boulez.
The musicians of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and Daniel Barenboim dedicate these performances to the Lebanese people and to the victims of the disastrous explosion in Beirut.
