Pianist William Youn—also heard this season in a duo with violist Nils Mönkemeyer—has arranged his solo program around an “axis of reflection” of works by Rebecca Saunders and excerpts from Ravel’s Miroirs. He also performs Mozart’s A-major Sonata with the famous “alla turca” march, lyrical miniatures by Edvard Grieg, and Schumann’s Humoreske—a piece the composer described as “possibly my most melancholy” work.
