Continuing a new tradition, the Schubert Week returns to the Pierre Boulez Saal in January 2020. As in previous years, the program has been curated by Thomas Hampson, who will open the festival with a performance of Winterreise, Schubert’s most celebrated song cycle, for which he is joined by pianist Wolfram Rieger.
Over the following six days, established as well as rising artists will take the stage, and Hampson will once again lead public workshops with students from the Lied Academy of the Heidelberger Frühling Festival. Explore the full program below!
