Emmanuel Pahud
Dialogues between Past and Present
Musical Performance Early Music / Contemporary Music 0Written around 1730, Georg Philipp Telemann’s 12 Fantaisies à Travers sans Basse represent a veritable compendium of Baroque flute music that, thanks to its technical challenges and stylistic variety, has remained at the core of the flute repertoire to this day. In this solo program, Emmanuel Pahud combines selected fantasies with works by a group of contemporary composers that were written for him—including pieces by Philippe Manoury and Michael Jarrell premiered by Pahud at the Pierre Boulez Saal as part of the digital Festival of New Music in July 2020.
The audio livestream will be open to the general public. The audio recording of the concert will be available to members of Pierre Boulez Saal Online only. Learn more about our new online membership.
