Faust, Bezuidenhout, Kenny & von der Goltz
Biber, Westhoff, Bach
Musical Performance Chamber Music / Early Music 0Isabelle Faust is joined by Kristian Bezuidenhout, Elizabeth Kenny, and Kristin von der Goltz to present a panorama of virtuoso Baroque masterworks for violin: the compositions of Salzburg kapellmeister Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber and Dresden court musician Johann Paul Westhoff, who were among the leading violinists of their generation, had a significant impact on the development of violin music at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, not least on the sonatas of Johann Sebastian Bach.
The audio livestream will be open to the general public. The audio recording of the concert will be released at a later date available to members of Pierre Boulez Saal Online only. Learn more about our new online membership!
