Between Worlds Ensemble: Black Sea
Musical Performance Ensemble & Orchestra 0Founded in 1968, the ensemble Rustavi is dedicated to preserving the rich tradition of Georgian folk music and dance, which it has presented in almost 5,000 concerts around the world over the past decades. For the second part of his Between Worlds series, focused on the Black Sea region, mandolinist Avi Avital has invited the ensemble’s male choir. The program also includes new arrangements and works by Béla Bartók, Sulkhan Tsintsadze, Fazıl Say, and others as well as traditional music.
