Musical Performance Trio 0Maqamat Trio
Audio Stream
The Maqamat Trio has its roots in the Maqamat Ensemble, founded by Anwar Abudragh in 2006 in Brussels. Naseer Shamma, curator of the Arabic Music Days, calls Abudragh “one of the leading voices of Iraqi maqam singing. Maqam is an art form inherited from more than a thousand years ago that heavily relies on a dedicated knowledge of the challenges of this classical type of singing.”
The concert will be available for on-demand listening soon after the livestream.
