Do I have to consider a dress code for my visit to the Pierre Boulez Saal?
You don’t need to be wearing a tuxedo or an evening gown.
However, we would like to ask our visitors to retain an appropriate appearance and to refrain from wearing short trousers and flip flops.
When should I arrive?
The box office and the foyer open 2 hours before the start of the performance.
In the foyer you can find a bar, where we serve refreshments.
To enjoy the concert in a relaxed way we would advise our guests to arrive at least half an hour before the beginning of the performance.
What happens if I run late?
We can no longer guarantee your seating once the performance has started. Latecomers will be ushered to seating during short breaks in the performance; they may only take their booked seats during the interval.
Can I cancel or exchange already paid-for tickets?
Tickets cannot be replaced, exchanged or cancelled.
Registered regular guests have the option of exchanging or cancelling tickets up to 72 hours before the concert.
It is strictly forbidden to take pictures or audio recordings during the concerts.
However, please feel free to take pictures of the Pierre Boulez Saal and its foyer before or after the performance as well as during the intermission.
Can I bring my children to the concert?
Not all concerts a suitable for children but we think you can assess your children’s character the best.
However, we would not advise to bring infants or small babies.
In case you do bring your children, please make sure that they neither disturb the normal cycle of the concert nor the other visitors.
Is there a cloak room at the Pierre Boulez Saal?
You can find a guarded cloak room in the foyer of the Pierre Boulez Saal. The price for the cloak room is included in the ticket price.
For safety reasons the Pierre Boulez Saal cannot store large bags.
Is there an elevator?
The Pierre Boulez Saal is a newly constructed chamber music hall and has a built-in elevator.
Wheelchair users, as well as all other visitors with limited mobility, have easy access to the elevator from the basement all the way up to the balcony.
Are there wheelchair seats?
You can find wheelchair seats on every level of the Pierre Boulez Saal which are all accessible via the main entrance.

Do I have to buy a program booklet or is it included in the price?
You can buy single program booklets on the evening of the concert from the front of house personal.
Registered regular guests, who visit 3 or more concerts per season, will get vouchers for program booklets.
Should I try to get tickets at the box office even if the concert is sold out?
It is definitely worth a try. Lots of the time there are some artist’s tickets or other allocations that won’t be on sale before the box office. However, we can’t guarantee any tickets.

Is there in-house catering?
On the ground and first floor you can find a bar before the concert as well as during the intermission.
