Alina Ibragimova is heard this season not only with her duo partner Cédric Tiberghien and as a member of the Chiaroscuro Quartet—she also makes her Pierre Boulez Saal solo debut. The Russian violinist performs works from three centuries, ranging from Telemann’s Fantasia No. 7—part of a collection of 12 that form a comprehensive compendium of Baroque violin music—to Bartók’s 1944 Sonata, which Yehudi Menuhin called “one of the masterpieces of all time.” Virtuoso works by Paganini, Ysaÿe, and Biber complete the program.
