For his lied recital, Ladinian baritone Andrè Schuen is joined by his longtime piano partner Daniel Heide, with whom he regularly appears at the Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and Vienna Konzerthaus. The program is opended by a selection of dark and melancholic settings of poems by Johann Mayrhofer, while the second half features songs revolving around love and longing. In the center of the program are powerful excerpts from Schubert's Schwanengesang after poems by Heinrich Heine.
