The Boulez Ensemble continues its survey of major works by their namesake with a performance of the percussion-rich sur Incises, one of the composer’s most kaleidoscopic scores first heard at the Pierre Boulez Saal as part of the opening concert in March 2017. Scored for trios of harps, pianos, and percussionists, the piece is aptly paired with Beethoven’s magisterial “Archduke” Trio, with Daniel Barenboim at the keyboard.
