In March 2019, clarinetist David Krakauer and pianist Kathleen Tagg joined forces with video artist Jesse Gilbert at the Pierre Boulez Saal to create a new and expanded version of their project Breath & Hammer, which they had previously presented around the world. Combining music of different genres and eras with original compositions, electronic sounds, and interactive projections, the program now returns for two nights only. Performed in a hexagonal, transparent “room within a room,” Breath & Hammer is an extraordinary, immersive audio-visual concert experience.
