Cristina Gómez Godoy, principal oboist of the Staatskapelle Berlin since 2013, makes her Pierre Boulez Saal debut together with pianist Michail Lifits. Next to Benjamin Britten’s Metamorphoses after Ovid, a modern classic for oboe, the program also includes works by Greek composer Nikos Skalkottas, a student of Schoenberg, and Johann Wenzel Kalliwoda. For Charles Martin Loeffler’s Rhapsodies, written at the turn of the 20th century, violist Joost Keizer joins the lineup.
