Lecture
Literary and cultural critic, and friend of the late Edward Said, Michael Wood opens the Edward W. Said Days. In his lecture Contrapuntal Wizardry: From Said to Proust and Back—the first part of the title comes from an essay by Said in which he talks about the music of Bach—he explores musical and literary aspects of counterpoint in the works of Bach and Proust, linking them to the writings of Edward Said.
