British director Nimer Rashed’s latest short film, London Tomorrow (2017), had its premiere at the right moment, just as the Western media began ignoring the plight of the Middle Eastern refugees. The film tells the survival story of a Syrian boy living in the forest outside the French city of Calais, waiting for a chance to cross the border into the UK. An experimental film employing little dialogue, London Tomorrow resembles a poem in pictures, expressing the will to live of those who won’t give up. During the Arabic Music Days, the film will be screened continuously on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, introduced on Saturday by a talk with the director.

In english language.
