Concluding the Schubert Week, Katharina Konradi made her Pierre Boulez Saal debut. The rising soprano—who was heard at the Bayreuth Festival in 2019 and joined the ensemble of the Hamburg State Opera in the 2018–19 season—performed Schubert’s Mignon Songs from Goethe’s Wilhelm Meister, among other works, accompanied by her piano partner Eric Schneider.

For the third consecutive year, Thomas Hampson invited renowned lied singers and the most promising talents of the younger generation, together with their piano partners, to dedicate an entire week to the world of the Schubert lied—even in these challenging times.

This concert was streamed live on Sunday, January 24, at 8 pm and will remain available for free on-demand viewing through April 30, 2021.

Approximate running time: 1h 15m without intermission
