In a program of opera and concert, this season’s Barocktage festival at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden is focused on two direct contemporaries: Alessandro Scarlatti and Henry Purcell both had a decisive influence on the music of the 17th century. Once again the Pierre Boulez Saal hosts several concerts in cooperation with the Staatsoper.
Margret Köll dedicates herself to the fascinating harp repertoire of the era, performing original works and arrangements of music by Purcell, Caccini, Trabaci, Handel, and many others.
