Inspired by the intimate atmosphere of domestic music-making, Margret Köll and Benedikt Kristjánsson have assembled a very personal program for their duo recital, which includes vocal and instrumental compositions from the famous Notenbüchlein prepared by Johann Sebastian Bach for his wife Anna Magdalena in the 1720s. These are complemented by vocal works from the Renaissance and early Baroque era by Giulio Caccini, Emilio de’ Cavalieri, and John Dowland, heard in the unusual and colorful combination of voice and harp.
