Michael Barenboim takes on a challenging double role in this duo program, for which he is joined by pianist Nathalia Milstein: after performing violin sonatas by Béla Bartók and Johannes Brahms, he switches to the viola for the concert’s second half, exploring the different characters and colors of these two members of the string instrument family side by side.
