The first concert for children and adults of the 2018–19 season is an hour-long journey through time and around the world, following in the footsteps of music lover Professor Hoggins. A box full of postcards and shellack records of music groups from many different places has been found in his attic (where else?)… Supported by text and animation, the musicians at the Pierre Boulez Saal bring these sounds from Europe, Africa, Asia, and America into the present: live music and historical recordings enter into a dialogue that spans time and space. It’s an adventurous exploration of sound for all ages!
