Founded in 1988, the Orlando Consort has built a reputation as one of the most expert ensembles for vocal music from the 11th to the 16th century. For their program “The Ambassadors,” the four singers combine Renaissance music from the courts of Europe with readings of excerpts from the journals and letters of diplomats of the era—resulting in a colorful evening of song and thought that brings to life one of the most fascinating periods in European history.
