Sir András Schiff has spent many years probing the inexhaustible riches of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. He returns to the Pierre Boulez Saal to continue his series of lecture concerts—launched last season with the Goldberg Variations—with a presentation of the six partitas for solo piano. Two evenings will be devoted to lectures with musical examples at the piano (one in German, one in English), the other two to complete performances of the partitas.
