“This music has more of a rhythmic feel than much of my past work,” says Sylvie Courvoisier about her trio, formed five years ago. Together with Drew Gress and Kenny Wollesen, the Swiss-born, New York–based pianist now brings her unique artistic imagination to the Pierre Boulez Saal, blending classical influences, jazz, and improvisation. For the evening’s first set, Courvoisier is joined by her longtime collaborator, violinist and composer Mark Feldman.
