For the third consecutive year, Thomas Hampson invited renowned lied singers and the most promising talents of the younger generation, together with their piano partners, to dedicate an entire week to the world of the Schubert lied—even in these challenging times.

For his own recital, Hampson was joined by his long-time collaborator Wolfram Rieger, performing Schubert settings of Goethe, Seidl, and Heine, among others, and contrasting them with lesser-known works by some of the composers he drew inspiration from—and those who were inspired by him.

The concert, followed by an interactive Q&A session, was streamed live on Wednesday, January 20, at 8 pm and will remain available for free on-demand viewing through April 30, 2021.
