Jordi Savall is one of today’s most important scholars and performers of early music, whose programs and audio books have introduced a wide public to historical performance practice. Savall is also a dedicated humanist. He seeks to build bridges between cultures and has a lasting, active commitment to peace worldwide.

At this concert evening, Jordi Savall joins the Hespèrion XXI ensemble and La Capella Reial de Catalunya, along with guest musicians from Israel, Palestine, Syria, Armenia, Greece, and Turkey, in a musical exploration of the history of Jerusalem. His program brings together performances of Jewish, Christian, and Arab music and texts.

The concert accompanies the Jewish Museum Berlin’s exhibition »Welcome to Jerusalem«, which opens on December 11, 2017.
